Discord

Many have asked, what is Discord….

Discord is a bit hard to explain. If you are familiar with #Slack then I can say it is very similar to #Slack. But most people are not familiar with #Slack either. Discord is a live chat program. You can chat with individuals like the old AOL IM, Skype, etc. But where Discord shines is in its ability to have a group conversation around a subject.

In Discord there are channels created around subjects. For example, in our discord server we have channels like, dmr-usion-dstar for those that want to have a discussion around those digital voice modes, antennas, diy, shacks, emcomm, echolink, winlink and more.

Our discord server was created mainly for the hamsocial social network but it has expanded to include topics around MAWCG as well as the Ham Radio Unlimited show.
